Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026

1. Calculator data

All calculations on PayClear run locally in your browser using JavaScript. The salary, income, or tax figures you enter into our calculators are never transmitted to, stored on, or logged by our servers. When you close the page or navigate away, that data is gone.

2. Cookies and advertising

This site may display advertisements served by third-party providers such as Google AdSense. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.

3. Analytics

We may use standard web analytics tools to understand aggregate traffic patterns (such as which pages are visited and how often), helping us improve the site. This data is anonymized and not linked to the financial figures you enter into calculators.

4. Third-party links

Our pages may link to third-party tools, services, or resources (such as payroll or tax software). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites — please review their respective privacy policies.

5. Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.

8. Do Not Track signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no consistent industry standard for how websites should respond to this signal, this site does not currently change its behavior based on Do Not Track browser settings. We do not sell personal information, and the calculation data you enter is never transmitted to our servers regardless of your browser settings.

9. California and other state privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights under state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act) regarding personal information collected by websites you visit. Because PayClear's calculators do not collect or store the financial figures you enter, and we do not maintain user accounts, there is minimal personal data of this kind for us to hold. Any aggregate, anonymized analytics data we may use does not identify individual visitors.

10. International visitors

This site is designed for US tax and payroll scenarios and hosted in the United States. If you access this site from outside the US, your information (to the limited extent described above, such as anonymized analytics) may be processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

12. How to exercise your privacy choices

Because we don't maintain user accounts or store the financial data you enter into calculators, there is no personal calculator data for you to request deletion of — it never leaves your browser in the first place. For questions about cookies, advertising, or analytics, the opt-out links provided above (Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info) are the most direct way to manage your preferences across the wider web, not just this site.

13. Server logs and technical data

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and page requested) for security and operational purposes. This is standard web server behavior and is separate from — and does not include — any of the financial figures you enter into our calculators, which remain entirely client-side.

14. Changes that materially affect you

If we ever make a change to this policy that materially affects how data is collected or used, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page prominently, so returning visitors can easily see when the policy was last revised.

15. Summary in plain language

In short: we don't see, store, or sell the financial numbers you type into our calculators, we don't require sign-up, and any ads you see may be personalized by third parties using their own cookies, which you can opt out of using the links in section 2. That's the entire scope of how this site interacts with your data.

16. Contact

Questions about this policy? Reach out via our Contact page — we aim to respond to privacy-related questions promptly given their sensitive nature.
